Coffee Cake Exceptionale

Ingredients

• Filling:
• 3/4 cup butter or margarine
• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 3 eggs
• 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
• 3 cups all purpose flour
• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
• 2 cups sour cream
• 3/4 cup brown sugar
• 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
• 3/4 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

Preparation

Step 1

Grease and flour tube pan. In large mixing bowl, combine butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Mix together flour, baking powder and soda in another bowl. Alternate flour mixture and sour cream and mix well into creamed mixture. Spread 1/3 of mixture in tube pan, then 1/3 of filling, repeat, ending with filling.

Bake for 1 hour at 350. Test with toothpick.
