Turkey Stuffing with Raw Sausage from NaNa Langbein
By wjkn@aol.com
This is the only turkey stuffing I have ever had. My family has been eating this stuffing since the early 1900's (or earlier), and we haven't lost anyone yet!
We always stuffed the turkey the night before but now wait until just before it goes in the oven.
Top the turkey with strips of bacon and it becomes self basting!

Preparation
Step 1
Saute chopped onions and celery in butter until translucent.
Pour the onions and celery over the stuffing bread and add the sausage meat. This is when you would add the poultry seasoning. Smush together. If it doesn't seem moist enough, add some chicken broth or hot water to the mix.
