Ingredients
- 1 lb turkey sausage, removed from casing
- 1 (15-oz) bag dry bread cubes for stuffing
- 3 Tbsp canola oil
- 1 large onion
- 2 large apples, peeled, cored, and sliced thin
- 3 celery stalks, chopped
- 4 sliced scallions
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 cups canned reduced-sodium chicken broth
- 1 egg

Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Oil a 2-quart baking dish.
2. In a large skillet, sauté sausage in a bit of canola oil for 8 minutes, or until thoroughly cooked. Transfer to a large mixing bowl and add bread cubes.
3. Add oil to a large skillet; sauté onion, apples, celery, and scallions for 7 minutes on low, stirring frequently. Season with salt. Transfer to mixing bowl.
4. Stir in broth and egg. Spoon into baking dish. Bake, covered, for 1 hour.
