Ingredients

  • 2 2/3 cups flour
  • 2 tsps baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsps cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and lightly grease a square baking pan

Combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt and set aside

In large bowl beat together butter and brown sugar for 3-5 minutes. Add in eggs, vanilla and beat until smooth

Slowly add the flour mixture until well blended. Spread in pan

Combine sugar and cinnamon in a little bowl and sprinkle on top of batter

Bake 25-30 minutes until surface springs back when pressed. Cool before cutting.
