Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. Shallots
  • 2 bunches leeks
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3 Tbls. unsalted butter
  • one large yellow onion cut in half and then slive lengthwise think slices

Preparation

Step 1

Cut Leeks lengthwise cook shallots, leeks and yellow onion in butter until soft.

Add garlic cook one minute

Add two cups cream.

Simmer until cream is thick (soupy and coats the back of a spoon, but touching the spoon leaves a dent).

Season with salt and Pepper.

Pour into backing dish.

cover with bread crumbs.

Dot with butter

Bake at 475 for 15 to 20 minutes.
