Ingredients
- 3cups3 cups Apple ; diced
- 1teaspoon1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/3cup1/3 cup Brown sugar
- 1/4cup1/4 cup Raisins
- 4cups4 cups Water
- ~~ -- Dumplings -- ~~
- 2cup2 cup Whole wheat flour
- 1cup1 cup Water
- 2teaspoon2 teaspoon Chopped nuts

Preparation
Step 1
Combine first five ingredients in large pot. Bring to a boil. Mix together last 3 ingredients and carefully drop by spoonfuls into boiling fruit mixture to cover it with a mass of dough. Simmer, partially covered, for five minutes. Remove lid, simmer until dough is cooked, about 8 to 10 minutes.
Serve in a bowl with whipped cream or ice cream.
Note: In place of apples, other fresh fruit can be used.
