Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped chicken
  • 1/4 cup french dressing
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dried onion flakes
  • 2 tbsp toasted slivered almonds (optional)
  • 1/2 cup cheese spread
  • 4 oz. french fried onion rings, frozen

Step 1

Combine chicken and dressing together in bowl. Put in refrigerator to marinate for 2 hours.

Add celery, mayonnaisse, salt and onion flakes to chicken. If you are going to use almonds, toast in 350 oven for 15 minutes. Add to chicken mixture. Pack in 1 1/2 quart casserole.

Put dabs of cheese here and there over chicken. Spread as best you can. Bake uncovered in 350 oven for 35 minutes.

Arrange the onion rings over top and bake 10 minutes more.
