Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups chopped nuts
  • 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar

Step 1

Cream shortening; gradually add sugar and salt. Add water, vanilla and nuts. Blend in flour; mix thoroughly. Shape in balls. Bake on ungreased baking sheet about 15 minutes in 325deg oven. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
