Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cup dry pinto or kidney beans
  • 2 (14 ounce) can tomatoes
  • 1 pound ground chuck, browned and drained
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 small clove garlic, crushed
  • 3 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt to taste

Step 1

Soak or parboil beans until completely softened; drain. Place in crock pot. Add all remaining ingredients; stir well. Cover and cook for 10 to 18 hours.
