Chinese Beef Broccoli Recipe

1. Slice the flank steak ACROSS the grain
- 1/2 lb sirloin steak (or flank)
- 1 1/2 tsps soy sauce
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- ground black pepper (Freshly)
- 1 lb broccoli (cut into bite-size florets)
- 1 tbsp cooking oil (high-heat, canola, vegetable, rice)
- 1 clove garlic (finely minced)
- 1 tsp fresh ginger (grated)
- 3 tbsps oyster sauce
- 2 tsps chinese rice wine (or dry sherry)
- 2 tsps chinese black vinegar (or young balsamic vinegar)
Baked Penne with Ricotta and Spinach

Preparation Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
- 8 ounces penne pasta
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 yellow onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 8 ounces fresh spinach, washed, drained, and chopped
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- coarse salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
