Carrot Cake Cheesecake Cake

For the cheesecake layer: Prepare the cheesecake layer first
- FOR THE CARROT CAKE LAYERS:
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup canola oil
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 cups shredded carrots
- FOR THE CHEESECAKE LAYER:
- 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
- FOR THE FROSTING:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Spicy Asian Brussles Sprouts

In the jar of a blender puree the garlic, ginger, chili, vinegar, hoisin and sesame oil
- Sauce:
- 1 pound of Brussels sprouts, halved
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 inches fresh ginger, minced
- 1 red chili, minced
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 3 tablespoons hoisin (gluten free)
- 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
- kosher salt to taste
- 1 red chili, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
Key Lime Pie

For the crust: Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Crust:
- 9 graham cracker sheets (4.8 oz) broken into halves
- 2 1/2 Tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup (2.7 oz) unsalted butter, melted
- Filling:
- 3 large egg yolks
- 1 Tbsp lime zest
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk (don't use fat free)
- 1/2 cup (4oz) strained fresh lime juice
- 1/4 cup (2 oz) full fat sour cream
- 3/4 cup (6.3 oz) heavy cream*
- 3 Tbsp granulated sugar

- 8 ounces (1/2 loaf) La Brea Bakery's sesame semolina loaf, cut into 3/4-inch cubes
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1/4 cup (3.75 ounces) dark brown sugar, tightly packed
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- fresh zest from 1 medium orange

- for cake:
- 375 g flour (3 cups)
- 2.5 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp grated nutmeg

- 2 sticks (226 g, 1 cup) unsalted butter
- 400 g (2 cups) sugar
- 4 eggs
- 369 (1 1/2 cup) coke
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- for frosting:
- 5 egg white
- pinch cream of tartar
- bowl rubbed down with lemon
- 150 g / 2/3 cup coke
- 185 g sugar

- 2 pounds chicken bones, innards, etc
- 2 quarts water

- 1 (3oz) dark chocolate bar
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter at room temperature
- 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Sriracha Orange Beef

In a large skillet saute beef, bell peppers, and garlic til garlic is fragrant (2-3 minutes)
- 1 1/2 - 2 pounds thin-cut beef (like flank steak, skirt steak, or similar), cut into 1-inch slices
- 1-2 red bell peppers, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 cup orange juice
- 2-3 tablespoons sirracha sauce (a spicy red chili sauce found in the Asian section of most grocery stores)
- 5 tablespoons soy sauce ( I used low sodium)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons cold water + 1 tablespoon corn starch
Rosemary Blackberry Cocktail

Gently muddle blackberries and rosemary in a cocktail shaker
- handful fresh blackberries
- couple sprigs fresh rosemary
- 1 1/2 oz tequila
- 1 oz lime juice
- 3/4 oz simple syrup*
- ice cubes
