- 1 =1/2 pounds asparagus, trimmed to 4 – 5 inches
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
