Glazed Carrots with Bacon and Onion

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. carrots, scraped and sliced diagonally
  • 3 slices bacon
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Cook carrots, covered, in small amount of boiling water for 15 minutes or until crisp tender. Drain. Cook bacon in skillet until crisp; crumble. Reserve 1 Tbsp. drippings in skillet. Saute onion in drippings. Add brown sugar, pepper, and carrots. Cook until heated; sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
