Ingredients
- 8 1/2-oz can water chestnuts, drained; reserve 1/2 cup liquid
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 12 slices bacon, halved
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
Preparation
Step 1
Marinate whole water chestnuts in reserved liquid and vinegar for at least 1 hour. Drain. Spread each half slice of bacon with brown sugar mixed with ketchup. Roll water chestnuts in bacon and fasten with toothpicks.
Broil on a rack for 5 minutes or more until crisp. Drain on paper towels. Serve with cocktail picks.
