Ingredients
- 2 T oil
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 c buttermilk
- 1 1/2 t baking powder
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/4 t baking soda
- 1 1/2 c yellow cornmeal
Preparation
Step 1
Pour oil into 9" skillet and place in oven while preheating to 450. In large bowl combine eggs and buttermilk. Mix in baking powder, salt and baking soda. Pour ht oil into batter, mix well. Stir in cornmeal until combined. Pour batter into pan and bake for 15-20 mins and cool for 5 mins.
