Ingredients

  • 2 cups of apples finely diced
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 egg well beaten
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Preparation

Step 1

Place apples and sugar in a bowl and let stand for 30 minutes.

Blend oil and egg in separate bowl.

Sift together flour, cinnamon, salt, and powder in bowl.

Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients.

Add vanilla and nuts.

Place mixture in a well greased 8 inch square pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
