Ingredients
- 2 cups biscuit/baking mix
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground nutmeg
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 6 TBS butter, melted
- 1 cup chopped peeled apple
Preparation
Step 1
1) In a large bowl, combine the biscuit mix, cinnamon and nutmeg. In another bowl, combine the eggs, milk and butter; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Stir in apple.
2) Bake in preheated waffle iron according to manufacturer's directions until golden brown.
3) Serve desired amount of waffles. Arrange remaining waffles in a single layer on baking sheets. Freeze overnight or until frozen. Transfer to a resealable plastic freezer bag. May be frozen for up to 2 months.
TO USE FROZEN WAFFLES: Reheat waffles in a toaster.
