Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper
- 1/2 tteaspoon garlic powder
- 4 pounds bottom round roast - (to 5 lbs)
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 cups cola flavored soda
- 1 can chili sauce - (12 oz)
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce
Preparation
Step 1
Combine salt, pepper and garlic powder; rub over surface of roast. Brown roast on all sides in vegetable oil in heavy pan or Dutch oven. Drain off drippings. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over roast. (Can be done in Slow cooker at this point, about 8 to 10 hours on LOW or 4 to 5 on HIGH.) Cover and bake in 325 degree oven for 3 hours or until tender.
