Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- red pepper flakes
- 28 oz. can whole tomatoes and juice
- 3/4 c. water
- 3 Tbsp. tomato paste
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/3 c. vodka
- 1/2 c. heavy cream
Preparation
Step 1
Saute garlic and red pepper flakes in olive oil until just soft. Stir in tomatoes, water, tomato paste, sugar and vodka and simmer 20-25 mins. Remove from heat and stir in heavy cream. Serve over penne with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese.
