Grilled Banana Splits

Ingredients

  • 4-6 bananas
  • 1 About 1 cup (250 ml) chocolate chips
  • 1 About 1 cup (250 ml) miniature marshmallows
  • Whipped cream for garnish (optional)
  • Maraschino cherries for garnish (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Cut the tips off both ends of the bananas and cut a slit through the top of the skin and through the banana itself, leaving the skin at the bottom uncut. Carefully split the bananas open and stuff with chocolate chips and marshmallows to taste. Wrap each banana in a piece of heavy duty aluminum foil that has been sprayed with cooking spray and place over hot coals. Cook until the chocolate chips have melted, about 5 minutes. Garnish with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry if desired and eat with a spoon. Serves 4 to 6.
