Ingredients
- 14 lg mushrooms
- 1 c breadcrumbs
- chopped garlic
- olive oil
- salt and pepper
- 1 c grated pecorino romano
- 2 lg. onions
- water
Preparation
Step 1
pull stems from mushrooms..mix together breadcrumbs..Italian cheese..garlic..salt and pepper..mix with some olive oil till breadcrumbs hold together. place thinly sliced onions on bottom of baking dish..add a little olive oil and about 1 inch water...stuff mushrooms and place on top of onions. cover with a sheet of wax paper and cover tightly with foil...cook for 1 hour then remove cover and place under broiler for a few minutes to brown.
