Orange Hazelnut Biscotti

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp orange rind, grated
  • 3 Tbsp fresh orange juice
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup toasted hazelnuts, chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Lightly greast baking sheets

Combine flour, baking powder, baking sida and salt in a bowl.

Beat oil, orange peel, orange juice, eggs and sugar in large bowl until smooth.

On low speed, beat flour mixture into orange mixture. Add hazelnuts.

Divide dough in half; shape each half into a log on floured work surface. Place logs on prepared sheets.

Bake for about 20 mintues.

Cool on baking sheets on racks for 10 mins.

Slice diagonally into 1/2 inch thick slices and lay slices on baking sheets.

Bake 10 minutes on one side, flip, bake on other side for 10 minutes.
