Ingredients
- 1 c. flour
- 1/4 c brown sugar
- 1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts
- 1/2 c melted butter
- 1 c. whipped cream
- 2 egg whites
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 (10 oz. ) pkg frozen strawberries
Preparation
Step 1
Mix flour and brown sugar. Stir in walnuts and butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, so mixture will be crumbly. Cool. Put 2/3 of mixture in bottom of 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Reserve rest of topping. Beat egg whites to soft peaks. Gradually beat in sugar. Add frozen strawberries and beat a least 10 minutes longer. Fold in whipped cream. Spread over nut mixture in pan and top with remaining nut mixture. Freeze until ready to serve.
Makes 12 servings.
