Ingredients
- 1 cup packed mashed potatoes
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
Step 1
Mix potatoes, flour and salt well. Pack the mixture well in your hands and form into a medium size oval. Drop into boiling salted water to which a bit of oil or lard has been added to prevent the dumplings from sticking. Boil 20 minutes.
*Warm potatoes mix better than cold and more flour may be needed if leftover potatoes are used. If you prefer a softer dumpling, 2 beaten eggs can be added to the mixture before making into balls.
