Julie’s Peach Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of peaches, sliced
  • 2 cups of sugar, divided
  • 8 tbsp of butter
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 ½ cups self rising flour
  • 1 ½ cups milk

Preparation

Step 1

Pre heat oven to 350 degrees.

1.Combine peaches, 1 cup of sugar and water in a saucepan and mix well. Bring to boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat.

2.Put Butter in 3 quart baking dish and place in oven to melt

3.Mix 1 cup sugar, flour and milk, slowly pouring in milk to prevent lumps.

4.Pour mixture over melted butter. DO NOT STIR

5.Spoon peaches on top and gently pour syrup over mixture.

6.Bake for 30 to 45 minutes

Serve warm or at room temperature with sweet cream or ice cream.
