Sherry Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 4 thick pork chops (bone-in)
  • 2-3 red apples (peeled, cored and sliced)
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons better
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1/2 cup red wine or sherry

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a large skillet, brown chops on both sides
2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
3. Arrange apple slices in the bottom of 9x13 baking dish. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Dot with butter and top with browned pork chops. Season the chops with salt and pepper to taste. Pour wine or sherry over everything. Cover and bake until pork has no pink.
