Vidalia Sweet Onion Casserole

  • 5 cups sliced Vidalia onions
  • 6 Tbl. stick margarine
  • 1/2 cup self-rising flour
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. ground cumin
  • 3 ci[s grated sjar[ Cjeedar cheese, divided

Preparation

Step 1

Pa rboil onions in a little water or soften in microwave. Drain well. Melt butter or margarine over onions. Sprinkle flour, pepper salt and cumin over mixture and stir to mix well. Stir in 1/2 to 1 cup cheese. Spray 8-12 inch pan with cooking spray. Spread onion mixture evenly. Sprinkle remaining cheese over top. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
