Thick gravy. Quick, easy & sooo good! This perfect turkey gravy recipe can be made with or without drippings from a chicken or turkey. The method is so simple and will take only about 10 minutes from start to finish.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, 1 stick, cut into about 8 pieces
- 1 teaspoon coarse black pepper, & salt to taste
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 cups pan drippings, OR 4 cups chicken stock
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
Preparation
Step 1
Melt butter over medium-low heat, then add chopped onion stirring occasionally, until translucent. Sprinkle in the flour over onion, stir constantly until flour is golden to brown. Whisk in 4 cups of stock or broth until it thickens, salt & pepper to taste. If too thick, add more broth.
