Coconut Macaroons (Favourite)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. egg whites (4 - 5 egg whites)
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. moist shredded coconut

Preparation

Step 1


Beat egg whites and salt till soft peaks form.
Gradually add sugar beating until stiff peaks form.
Fold in vanilla and coconut.
Drop from teaspoon 2 inches apart on cookie sheet covered with paper.
Bake in 325 F. oven for 20 minutes.
Cool slightly before removing from pan.
