Ingredients
- 5 large apples
- 1 orange (rind and juice)
- 1 lemon (rind and juice)
- 3/4 C sugar
- 2/3 C matzoh meal
- 6 eggs - seperate
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 vanilla sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven at least 10 minutes at 375.
Peel and grate apples.
Add juices, rind, egg yolks, 1/2 of the sugar and matzoh meal.
Beat egg whites, salt, and rest of sugar untill stiff and fold gently into first mixture.
Pour into heavy casserole dish which has been thouroughly greased with margarine and sprinkled heavily with bread crumbs.
Bake 45 minutes to one hour at 375.
