Ingredients

  • 3/4 C cornmeal
  • 3/4 t salt
  • 1 C flour
  • 1/3 C sugar
  • 5 t baking powder
  • 1 C milk
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 2 T melted shortening

Preparation

Step 1

1. Mix and sift dry ingredients. add milk, egg and shortening. Bake in greased cake pan for 20 minutes at 425 deg.
