Scalloped Oysters

Ingredients

  • 24 oz. oysters
  • 3 cups fine cracker crumbs
  • 4 tbs. melted butter
  • half-half
  • 1 tsp. salt

Preparation

Step 1

Pre- heat oven to 350. Total baking time 30 minutes.

Grain oysters and keep liquid. Toss 1 cup bread crumbs with butter, set aside. Add half& half to oyster liquid to make 2 cups. Stir in salt. Grease casserole, lined with 1 cup crumbs, then oysters and continue to layer. Dot with butter and add 1 cup liquid and half way thru ( 15 minutes) add the rest of the liquid.
