Ingredients
- 6 medium onions
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp crumbled dried sage
- 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper
- 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
Preparation
Step 1
Peel onions; place root ends down in shallow baking dish large enough to hold in one layer. Sprinkle with oil, sage, salt and pepper. Cover and bake in centre of oven at 375 for 1 hour, turing onions once.
Uncover; turn and bake until very soft, about 45 minutes. Drizzle with vinegar.
