Ingredients
- 1 lb. smoked kielbasa
- 1 lb. dried split peas
- 1 c. chopped carrots
- 1 c. onion
- 1 c. celery
- 1 tbsp. minced fresh parsley
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 pkg. cubed ham
- ham seasoning pkt (comes w/ split peas)
Preparation
Step 1
Cut sausage in half lengthwise; cut into 1/4" pieces. Place in Dutch oven or soup kettle; add remaining ingredients. Bring to boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 1/4- 1 1/2 hours or till peas are tender. Remove bay leaves.
