Pear Tart

Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 TBS softened butter
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 1/8 cup Flour
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 8 oz softened regular cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 3/4 15oz cans drained pears, cutting the halves into 3 or 4 slices
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 TBS Sugar
  • garnish with whipped cream

Preparation

Step 1

In mixer beat butter and 3/4 cup sugar for 2 minutes. Beat in flour and nuts.
Press onto the bottom and 1/2" up sides of sprayed spring form pan - or use 9" tart pan. Precook at 350 for 12 minutes.

In another bowl beat cream cheese til smooth. Beat in 1/4 cup sugar, egg, vanilla. Spread over crust. Cover the top with sliced pears, Combine cinnamon and TBS sugar, sprinkle over pears.

Bake at 425 for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350, bake for 20 minutes

Cool 1 hour on rack. Chill for at least 2 hours. Whip cream garnish,

I usually make it a day ahead.
