Grilled Asparagus

Ingredients

  • 1 pound asparagus
  • 2 tablespoons Asian (dark) sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 clover garlic, minced
  • Coarse salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

Preparation

Step 1

Mix sesame oil, soy sauce and garlic and stir with a fork. Snap off woody base of asparagus. Brush mixture on asparagus. Season with salt and pepper. Grill till nicely browned on both sides, 2 to 4 minutes per side. Make sure you lay them perpendicular to the grate so they do not fall through. Sprinkle with sesame seeds as they grill.
