Baked Italian Macaroni

Ingredients

  • 1 lb dry large elbow macaroni
  • 1 sm onion, chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • garlic and seasoned salt to taste
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 can tomatoe sauce
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup cream cheese
  • 2 Tbsp grated parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Cook pasta according to directions; drain.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat, sauté onion in a little bit of oil till tender.
Add ground beef and salts and cook till browned.
Add sauces and tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prepare a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray.
In a bowl, mix together the pasta, sour cream, and cream cheese.
Spread a small amount sauce mixture on the bottom of the prepared dish and then layer in the dish as follows: 1/2 the pasta mixture, 1/2 the shredded cheese, 1/2 sauce mixture, remaining pasta, remaining shredded cheese, and remaining sauce mixture.
Top with the grated parmesan cheese.
Bake for 30 minutes or until heated through and bubbly.
