Chicken Noodle Soup Mix

This ia very satisfying soup which everyone loves.

Ingredients

  • INTREDIENTS NEEDED FOR THE SOUP MIX:
  • 1 cup 1 cup uncooked fine egg noodles
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons 1 1/2 tablespoons chicken-flavored bouillon
  • 1/2 teaspoon 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon 1/4 teaspoon dried whole thyme
  • 1/8 teaspoon 1/8 teaspoon celery seeds
  • 1/8 teaspoon 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 1 bay leaf
  • ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS NEEDED TO PREPARE THE SOUP:
  • 8 cups 8 cups water
  • 2 2 carrots, thinly sliced
  • 2 stalks 2 stalks celery, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 3 cups 3 cups cooked diced chicken

Preparation

Step 1

Empty the soup mix from the jar and add the water into a large stockpot. Add the carrots, celery, and onion and bring to a boil. Cover and reduce to a simmer. Simmer for 15 minutes.


Remove the bay leaf. Stir in the chicken and simmer an additional 5 minutes.



COOKS NOTE:
If you don't want to go to the bother of boiling and cooking the chicken, then I usually use a can of already cooked prepared chicken in broth, or a package of already cooked grilled fahita chicken and chop that in small pieces. You can find that in the refrigerator cases at your local grocery store.
