Ingredients
- INTREDIENTS NEEDED FOR THE SOUP MIX:
- 1cup1 cup uncooked fine egg noodles
- 1 1/2tablespoons1 1/2 tablespoons chicken-flavored bouillon
- 1/2teaspoon1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4teaspoon1/4 teaspoon dried whole thyme
- 1/8teaspoon1/8 teaspoon celery seeds
- 1/8teaspoon1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 11 bay leaf
- ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS NEEDED TO PREPARE THE SOUP:
- 8cups8 cups water
- 22 carrots, thinly sliced
- 2stalks2 stalks celery, thinly sliced
- 1/4cup1/4 cup minced onion
- 3cups3 cups cooked diced chicken

Preparation
Step 1
Empty the soup mix from the jar and add the water into a large stockpot. Add the carrots, celery, and onion and bring to a boil. Cover and reduce to a simmer. Simmer for 15 minutes.
Remove the bay leaf. Stir in the chicken and simmer an additional 5 minutes.
COOKS NOTE:
If you don't want to go to the bother of boiling and cooking the chicken, then I usually use a can of already cooked prepared chicken in broth, or a package of already cooked grilled fahita chicken and chop that in small pieces. You can find that in the refrigerator cases at your local grocery store.
