Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients

  • 2/3 stick butter
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups green beans, sliced
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 10 3/4oz can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can french fried onion rings
  • Pinch of house seasoning (salt, pepper, garlic powder)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350.

2. Melt butter in a large skillet. Sautee onions and mushrooms.

3. Boil green beans in chicken broth for 10 minutes and drain.

4. In a large bowl, mix together well, the green beans, mushrooms/onions, mushroom soup, onion rings and seasonings. Stir well.

5. Pour mixture in greased 3 quart baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes. Take out of oven and top with the cheddar cheese and bake for 10 minutes more.
