Ingredients
- 2 red onions sliced
- 5 pounds beef short ribs
- 1 tablespoon steak seasoning
- 2 tablespoons oils
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup merlot or other red wine
- 1 package au jus gravy mix
Preparation
Step 1
Place onions in a slow cooker. Season short ribs with steak seasoning. In a skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Working in batches, brown ribs on all sides and transfer to a slow cooker. Stir together broth, wine and au jus gravy and pour over short ribs. Cover and cook on low setting for 8-10 hours. Serve hot or prepare to freeze.
