Ingredients
- 6 Medium carrots, 1" pieces
- 3 Tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 teaspoon butter
- Or
- 1/2 tsp. cumin, white pepper, honey, and apple juice
Preparation
Step 1
-steam carrots until tender
-in small saucepan combine sugar,cornstarch,nutmeg,ginger,and orange juice
-cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens
-cook 1 minute, remove from heat and add butter
Drain carrots and add sauce. Toss to coat carrots evenly Cover and let stand 4-5 minutes before serving.
