Lemon and Oregano Lamb Loin Chops

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 to 2 pounds lamb loin chops, sliced 1 1/4 inch thick
  • 6 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (approx. 2 lemons)
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Place the chops in a non-reactive container, add the remaining ingredients and mix and massage them into the chops with your hands.
Set aside for at least 1 hour to marinate.
Heat the grill to medium high and cook the chops 5 to 7 minutes, turning half way through for medium rare to almost medium.
Calories:
Cooked 40 per ounce - lean only eaten. A raw 1 1/2 inch thick loin chop is about 4 ounces.
