Unstuffed Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup onion; chopped
  • 1/2 medium cabbage; cut into strips
  • 28 oz tomatoes; crushed
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt

Preparation

Step 1

Crumble beef in Dutch oven. Add onions and cook over medium high 5 - 6
minutes, stirring often, until beef is lightly brown.

Add cabbage to meat mixture, cover and cook over medium heat 5 - 7 minutes,
stirring occasionally, until the cabbage wilts.

Stir in tomatoes, sugar, vinegar, and salt. Bring to a boil, reduce heat,
cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes or until cabbage is
tender.
