Grilled squash and cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 C cheddar, American, or Colby cheese shredded
  • 1/2 C cooked squash pureed (I use left over)
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 2 T butter or margarine
  • Your choice of bread

Preparation

Step 1

Combine cheese, squash and salt. Spread on bread. Melt butter or margarine in a skillet or on a griddle. Top cheese mixture with a second slice of bread and grill on both sides until golden brown.

Great way to get your kids to eat squash!
