Ingredients
- 2 onions quartered
- 2 tbs. brown sugar
- 1 tbs. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 (4-6 lb.) boneless pork butt or shoulder
- 3/4 c. cider vinegar
- 4 tsp. worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp. vrushed red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne
- Hamburger rolls
- Coleslaw (optional)
Preparation
Step 1
Place onions in crockpot. Combine brown sugar, paprika, pepper; rub over roast. Place roast over onion. Combine vinegar, worcestershire sauce, red pepper lakes, sugar, mustard, garlic powder & cayenne, stir to mix well. Drizzle 1/3 vinegar. Cook on low 8 to 10 hours (on high 3 to 5 hours) Drizzle reserved vinegar over roast during last half hour. Remove meat & onions, drain. Chop or shred meat and onions. Serve meat and onions on buns. If desired top sanwiches with coleslaw, Pass remaining vinegar misture to drizzle over sanwiches.
