Perfect Peach Cobbler

Ingredients

  • For the Topping:
  • 3 cups sliced peaches
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 cup of sifted flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 6 tablespoons melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon natural sugar, for garnish.

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Place peach slices on bottom of prepared baking dish.
Sprinkle with lemon juice.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Make a well.
Add egg, tossing with fork until crumbly.
Spread loosely over peaches.
Drizzle with melted butter.
Sprinkle natural sugar on top for sparkle.
Bake at 350 degrees F for about 40 minutes or until golden brown on top.
Serve with whipped cream or scoop of ice cream.
