Italian Beef (Lon Crook)

Ingredients

  • 6 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 3 pounds pork sirloin or picnic roast
  • 3 (1 ounce) packages dry Italian salad
  • dressing mix
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 (8-12 ounce) jar pepperoncini peppers with juice
  • 2 teaspoons beef bouillon
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 can of beer

Preparation

Step 1

Start 1 day in advance or the night before. In slow cooker, cook beef and pork with beer, bouillon and water. Slow cook 10 hours on low...or overnight.
In morning, shred meat with fork and add dressing packages, garlic powder and pepperoncini. Slow cook another 3-4 hours.

NOTE: I usually use water instead of beer and it is still great!
