Ingredients
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 medium onions, choped
- 1/2 cup red wine or sherry
- 2 Tbsps balsamic vinegar
- 1 Tbsp honey or sugar
- 2 x28 oz cans diced tomatoes
- 1 x10 oz can tomato juice
- pinch of crushed red peppers
- salt and black pepper to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oil. Add onions and saute. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer for 20 minutes, uncovered. Puree and adjust seasonings if desired.
Serve warm.
