Baked Ziti Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1-16 ounce package ziti or small tube pasta
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1-15 ounce carton part-skim ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1-28 ounce jar meatless spaghetti sauce
  • 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Prepare a 9X13 baking pan by spraying with Pam.

Cook pasta according to the package directions. Drain pasta; set aside.

In a bowl, combine the egg, ricotta, and 1/4 cup parmesan cheese.

Spread 1 cup spaghetti sauce in a sprayed 9X13 baking dish. Top with 1/3 pasta, half the ricotta mixture, 2/3 cup mozzarella, 1 Tbsp parmesan, and 1 cup sauce. Repeat layers and sprinkle with remaining parmesan.

Cover and bake until heated through, about 45 minutes.
